The two-week deadline President Buhari gave Adamu Adamu, the minister of education, to end the more than five-month ASUU strike has been criticized by Senator Shehu Sani.
President Buhari gave the Minister the order to address the problems that caused the strike during a meeting with various stakeholders on Tuesday, July 19.
Reacting to this development, Senator Shehu opined that the President should direct the Minister of Finance to release funds needed to address the demands of the striking lecturers and not hand down an ultimatum to the Education minister.
”The President don’t need to give the Education Minister two weeks to resolve the ASUU issues. All the president need to do is to direct the finance minister to release the funds needed to address the issues.”he tweeted
